Well this little idea that started out as selling some honey has morphed a bit since the initial idea came to mind. What started out as getting some Bees as a little experiment turned into a passion and a new business. So what started as selling a little honey as a side hustle turned into a sort of Bee mania lol. I decided to not only sell the honey my own bees produce but also wanted to experience the honey flavors from all over the world. I quickly became a honey connoisseur. So I began seeking out Beekeepers who are in areas with special crops that produce unique honey. My first find was the Tennessee wildflower. I asked a beekeeper what his favorite honey was and he said Tennessee wildflower. I asked him where he gets it from and he told me in an area near the Kentucky border at the mountain foothills. I tried some and it was some of the sweetest honey ever! this same beekeeper told me he would be brining his hives up to Wisconsin to pollinate the cranberries. I claimed my share of it on the spot! Told him I definitely wanted some of that! So this past week he was passing through town on his way to winter his Bees in South Florida. We met and made the exchange. This honey was so spectacular I asked for more and took his last bucket. I will hopefully have this every year around the holidays.
My next call was to a Beekeeper in my group from Maine that has his bees on the blueberries every year. He told me he had 13 straight years of honey but for some reason this year was a bad year and did not produce much. I am still seeking as I have had this honey before and it is amazing! I currently have a line on Southern California Sage honey. That is one on my list. I will be arranging a purchase of that liquid gold very soon.
So the honey selection will continue to grow. I have also contacted some Beekeepers in Spain. Yes I plan on having honey from all over the world.
So as the honey idea began to grow from my own honey to unique honeys from all over I also started coming across all kinds of bee merchandise. From apparel to home decor to bee themed items. So the idea wasn't finished growing yet! I decided to not only carry honey but all kinds of bee merchandise. You could call it "Bills world of Bees" lol! So much for a hobby. I was stung and caught bee fever, so my site became "everything" bees. You will find all my bee adventures on my social media and I am also connecting with several non-profits to donate a portion of proceeds to bee conservation. What started as a little adventure turned into a labor of love. I am in love with these little energetic creatures and want to be their biggest advocate! My BIG goal is to travel to Nepal and seek out the cliff honey there. There is only one tribe still doing it and I want to experience that before all the "honey hunters" are gone.
This is great! I came here for the honey; but you’re killing me with many beautiful items in the store!
